Dog Walking
We offer group dog walking for 45 minutes, solo dog walking for dogs who aren't as comfortable with other dogs for 45 minutes. Our dog walking service provides your dog with a group walk with up to four other dogs. This provides your dog with good physical and mental exercise and the opportunity to socially interact with other dogs of similar character.
The walks will normally take place in nearby fields such as Millennium Meadow, Baulk Wood, Henlow Common, Langford Meadows and Rowney Warren.
We will always make sure your dog is nicely cleaned off after we drop them back home and that they have plenty of water available.
Slots are available on walks Monday to Friday. Whether you require 5 walks a week or one/two/three/four walks a week, Best Buds is here to help.
Before you make your first booking I will take some basic information from you and answer any initial questions. Next I arrange a visit to meet and greet you and your dog, during which we'll get to know you both and discuss your requirements. This consultation enables me to find out all those important little things about your dog and to establish exactly what you need. Best of all, this home visit is completely free.
How Does It Work?
After your initial enquiry, we will arrange a free appointment to meet you and your dog. During this meeting you will get to meet us and we will explain what your dog will expect from a walk, how the payment can be arranged, and, so we are able to collect a spare set of keys.
The first few walks will be on lead, so we can get to know your dog and assess their suitability for off lead walking (if you have requested off lead walks). If you are not sure about how your dog will be when walking in a group, we can arrange for an off peak time walk with my dog Buddy and we can then assess your dog's suitability for group walking. If you opt to just go straight into group walking, we will be working under the assumption that your dog is generally friendly with other dogs.
How Do They Travel?
Your dog's safety is very important to us so they all travel in our Van which has been professionally kitted out with safe cages for the dogs to travel in.
We feel it is important your dogs are comfortable when they travel so dogs travel in their own section unless they are with another dog from the same household. The van has aircon to keep them cool while travelling, and they travel on nice soft vet bedding. If you would like to take a look at our van on a meeting you are more than welcome to do so.
